The History of Double Dare

On October 6, 1986, the first episode of Double Dare was recorded. Gradually, it evolved into the game show we know and love to this day. With a genius format and a half dozen gallons of whipped cream and about a hundred eggs, the show changed children's television forever - and that was just the beginning! Double Dare outdid itself with the bigger and messier Super Sloppy Double Dare, and provided messy family fun for everyone in Family Double Dare. It even returned for the new millennium as Double Dare 2000.

Today, we continue celebrating Double Dare after the 30th anniversary in 2016. As of June 25, 2018, the show returned to Nickelodeon in the new 2018 revival with the 'O.G. Double D' Marc Summers announcing, and new host, Liza Koshy.

Feel free to help us out and add more information to help grow the continuing history of Double Dare so we won't lose it!
