Marc Summers (born November 11, 1951, as Marc Berkowitz) is an actor, comedian, producer, and host for all seasons. In the 70's, he was a page for CBS. He had some advice from Jack Barry, Bob Barker, and Wink Martindale (all of their shows premiered together in 1972 on CBS). Marc's very first on-air job was an announcer for The Joker's Wild in 1973 filling in for Johnny Jacobs. His best known one was Nickelodeon's Double Dare from 1986 to 1993 plus additional versions. He was also the executive consultant for Double Dare 2000. Though he showed no signs of slowing down, Marc was diagnosed with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). From 2001-2011, Marc hosted Unwrapped on Food Network. In mid-2012, Marc was in a taxicab accident which messed up the left side of his face but not his spirit[1].
In 2016, Marc hosted the Double Dare Reunion Special at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2016 to celebrate Double Dare's 30th anniversary. On April 25, 2018, it was announced that Double Dare would be returning to Nickelodeon. It was later announced on May 22, 2018 that Marc Summers would be returning as a commentator to, "give color commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode" alongside brand new host Liza Koshy. The new series premiered on Nickelodeon on June 25, 2018.
After Nickelodeon's decision to cancel Double Dare in 2019 after just two seasons, Marc's involvement with the show ended once again with the conclusion of the Double Dare Live Tour in 2019, with Marc calling it "The last time I will ever host Double Dare".
He continues to be active in the television industry, producing content for Food Network, as well as The Last Unknown for Discovery+[2]. He also hosted a version of Hollywood Squares in 2021 to benefit the Hollywood Museum[3], where he was once again reunited with announcer Harvey.

- Marc Summer's favorite physical challenge is Pie In The Pants, saying, "Call me sophomoric, but there is something ridiculous and fun about it."[4]
- Marc Summers' favorite obstacle is Gum Drop, which he had gone through during the Marc vs. Harvey episode of Super Sloppy Double Dare.
- Marc Summer's placed being parodied by MAD[5] above appearing on Oprah, Howard Stern, and The Tonight Show.[4] A later issue ran a picture of him hitting the spoof's writer, Dick DeBartolo, in the face with a pie.[6]
